One of the purposes of the Lab is to support innovative initiatives. In its first phase, the Lab adopted three existing initiatives and helped with developmental evaluation and implementation.
In January 2016 the Lab also adopted a fourth initiative, which launched that same month, and in the fall of 2017 the Lab was invited to participate in a collaborative user-centred design initiative called Pathfinder.
In November 2019, we were invited to Northern Ireland to help a group at Ulster University implement a human-centred design process into an ongoing family justice research project.
In late 2020, we added the Unbundling Research Project.
Currently, the Youth Voices initiative is the main focus of the Lab, as we continue to hold workshops and gatherings to raise awareness and move towards releasing an initial prototype of what we call #OurVoices.
