Youth Voices Initiative – #Ourvoices Prototyping workshop

This workshop was facilitated by Chad and Sandy Buck from Deer Crossing the Art Farm and gathered a diverse group of young people, parents and the Lab team to explore how to create content/stories that could be showcased on the new platform. It was a creative, reflective and meaningful time for all participants that confirmed, despite some initial reservations, that everyone is creative!

Output

The creative output is a prototype for learning about producing content and how best to display it digitally on a platform designed to invite content submissions from young people. However, the experience also identified the significance of an in-person workshop format which allowed deeper reflection and sharing of meaning and insight. As a result, it is likely that this prototype will evolve to include invitations for participation both digitally through the platform and through in person workshops.
We are already planning future workshops with our core Youth Voices leadership team for the end of 2019.
