Our invitation to young people in BC with lived experience of the family justice system:
In British Columbia, the voices of young people have a right to be heard, especially during challenging times for themselves or their families. The Youth Voices Initiative is on a mission to change the conversation around the family justice system, and we want YOU to be a part of it!
As a young person with lived experience of parental separation or child protection disputes, you have unique perspectives and insights that can help shape a system designed to support families during their most vulnerable moments. By joining our leadership group, you’ll have the opportunity to advocate for meaningful participation, ensuring that the views of children are not just acknowledged but actively sought, heard, and acted upon.
Imagine a future where every child’s voice is valued—a future where young people are at the forefront of discussions that affect their lives. Together, we can create that future! Your passion, creativity, and courage can drive change and make a real difference in the lives of children experiencing family transition.
If you’re interested in being part of this transformative journey or if you need more information, we want to hear from you! Please reach out to our Coordinator (kari@bcfjil.ca) today and take the first step toward amplifying youth voices in BC’s family justice system.
Let’s unite and ensure that every child’s perspective is not only recognized but celebrated. Join us in advocating for a more inclusive, compassionate, and just family justice system. Your voice matters!
